Preston Greenhouse is a family-owned and operated business. We were established in 1979 and have since grown to become a premier grower. Customers visit to purchase fresh annuals, perennials, herbs, vegetable plants, and nursery stock.

Annuals, Perennials, Herbs, Vegetable Plants, Trees and Shrubs, and Produce are all grown here. We do landscape design and installation using cutting-edge technology. We have a mason on staff and can install pavers, retaining walls, and natural stone projects to enhance the beauty of your home or business.

Preston Greenhouse was founded on a deep love and passion for horticulture. That dedication lives on in the communities it serves in the Metro Louisville area. Preston Greenhouse is built on service and dedication to family, community, employees, customers, and the industry.

We have previously served on the boards of several civic organizations, including the Tree Stewards of New Albany, the Sunnyside Master Gardeners of Indiana, the Southern Indiana Botanical Society, the Louisville Nursery Association, the Kentucky Nursery & Landscape Association, and the International Plant Propagator's Society's Eastern Region.

Steve Mercer is a St. Xavier High School and Eastern Kentucky University graduate with multiple degrees. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Technical Agriculture and is well-versed in plants, landscaping, the greenhouse and nursery industry, and technology.
